OnePlus is preparing to launch its next Nord series smartphone, with the release expected in the near future. While initial reports pointed to a May debut for the Nord CE5, recent updates suggest a June launch. The phone has already appeared on the BIS certification site, confirming its existence and imminent arrival.
According to leaks, the Nord CE5 will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It’s expected to sport a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens using the Sony IMX355. On the front, it’s rumored to include a 16MP selfie camera. The device will also have a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
One of its standout features is a massive 7,100mAh battery supporting 80W wired charging - a significant upgrade over the 5,500mAh battery in the Nord CE4. Additional specs include an IR blaster, hybrid dual SIM slot, in-display fingerprint sensor, and likely some level of water and dust resistance. Pricing is expected to be close to that of the Nord CE4, possibly with a slight increase.
