Samsung may delay the budget Galaxy Z Flip FE for an unexpected reason

Samsung's foldable lineup is set to expand this year, but the more affordable Galaxy Z Flip FE might not launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 as expected. According to a Korean report, its release could be pushed to Q4 2025.

The new timeline suggests Samsung plans to unveil the Flip FE around the same time as its rumored triple-fold device, rather than during the usual summer Unpacked event in July.

While there's no official reason for the delay, it may come down to priorities. Samsung Display is reportedly starting panel production for the Fold 7 and Flip 7, meaning the FE model could take a backseat until the main flagships are ready. Another factor could be the chipset-Samsung is said to be deciding between the delayed Exynos 2500 and the already-in-production Exynos 2400e.

Fan Edition models have had mixed reception, but devices like the Galaxy S24 FE show strong demand for near-flagship phones at lower prices. Bringing that strategy to foldables could be a smart move. And if Samsung delivers Flip 6-level quality at a lower cost, the delay might be well worth the wait.
