OnePlus 15T tipped for an even bigger battery

New details have emerged about the upcoming OnePlus 15T, suggesting it could be one of the most exciting smaller flagship smartphones. Following up on its predecessor, the OnePlus 13T, a new leak indicates a significant enhancement that could make it a standout device.

A Colossal 7,500 mAh Battery?

A report from the prolific leaker Digital Chat Station suggests that the OnePlus 15T may pack a battery with an approximate capacity of 7,500 mAh. The objective seems to be positioning the OnePlus 15T as the small-screen phone with the largest battery on the market.

The leaker also reaffirmed previously rumored specs. The device is expected to have a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. This panel will likely be LTPS instead of LTPO. Furthermore, the phone may feature a metal frame, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 50MP telephoto camera equipped with Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5 sensor.

A Mid-Range Champion in the Making

OnePlus is rumored to be targeting an April launch for the 15T, placing it in the market slightly after competitors like the iPhone 17e, Samsung Galaxy A57, and Google Pixel 10A. These are all relatively compact and more affordable phones that could vie for the same customer base.

However, there is still no information on whether the OnePlus 15T will be available outside of China. Last year's OnePlus 13T was only released in China and India (as the OnePlus 13s). Given that companies like Oppo and Vivo are reportedly planning broader international releases for their devices, it wouldn't be surprising if OnePlus does the same. If it gets a global launch, the OnePlus 15T could easily become one of the most exciting mid-range devices of the year.
