In a market where smartphone designs rarely change, even minor updates from Apple attract attention. After redesigning the camera layout in the iPhone 17 Pro, the company is now preparing another visual tweak for the iPhone 18.

Rumors about a smaller Dynamic Island continue to gain traction. New leaked images, reportedly showing screen protectors for the iPhone 18 Pro, reveal updated cutout dimensions. The main adjustment affects the left side, where the TrueDepth camera and Face ID sensors are located.
According to the leaks, the width of the cutout may shrink from 20.76 mm to around 13.49 mm, making it significantly narrower. Other elements on the front, including the bezels, appear unchanged compared to the previous model.

There is also speculation that the redesigned Dynamic Island will be limited to the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max versions. Earlier reports suggested a move to a single punch-hole or under-display Face ID, but recent information indicates Apple is not ready to implement those changes yet.
While the smaller cutout is a visible improvement, it is not a major breakthrough. Compared to Android devices that already use minimal punch-hole designs, the iPhone 18 may still appear somewhat outdated.
