Vivo is gearing up to launch its premium mid-range smartphone, the V50, in India. The phone is expected to arrive soon, as the company has just shared its design and key features.
The V50 carries a design similar to the Vivo S20, which was released in China last year, and will be available in three colors: Rose Red, Starry Blue, and Titanium Grey. While the price is yet to be revealed, it shouldn’t be long before we know, as Vivo is expected to announce the V50 by the end of February.
The launch website confirms several key specs that were previously leaked. Notably, the V50 comes with a 50-megapixel primary camera featuring OIS (optical image stabilization), along with a second 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and the company’s Aura Light LED ring light.
A 50-megapixel front camera will handle selfies, and the camera system has been developed in partnership with Zeiss, a company Vivo has been working with for years.
Vivo has also stated that the V50 will be India’s thinnest smartphone with a 6,000 mAh battery, confirming the device will feature a 6,000 mAh battery.
Additionally, the V50 will offer IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance. It will run on Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15. The Starry Blue version will include Vivo’s 3D-Star Technology, giving it a unique shimmering effect that mimics the night sky.
